Classes and Workshops

Beginning Blacksmithing ($250)

In this 2-day workshop, you will learn the basics. We will start with how to start and manage a coal fire and move into simple projects that will teach you the techniques and skills needed to get started. We will make "S"-hooks, bottle openers, spoons and grilling forks. Other projects may be added. (All tools and materials are supplied. Each class is limited to three people)

Beginning Blacksmithing for Youth (ages 10-16)($100)

​

In this 1-day workshop, you will learn the basics. We will start with how to start and manage a coal fire and move into simple projects such as simple hooks, spoons, fire pokers, etc. The goal of this class is to introduce young people to the historic trade skill of blacksmithing and give them the basic skills and techniques needed to get started well. Parents are welcome to join the class for an additional $100. Classes are limited to two youth students.
